3.0 SDMS CMEs: 3.0 Abdominal Sonography. This package will provide a comprehensive review of the structure and function of the gallbladder and biliary tree, the liver, and the kidney. In addition, each presenter will review common abnormalities and pathology.



Susan Davidson

BS, RDMS

Susan is the program director of the DMS program at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA, and has been since 2018. Before her teaching career, she was a sonographer in the Lehigh Valley region for 15 years. She has also worked as a counselor in a women's health clinic and as a classroom aide for special needs children. Her education includes Thomas Jefferson University's DMS Program and Penn State University's rehabilitation education program, and she is a master's candidate in education at Moravian University in Bethlehem, PA. She is a PA native and lives in the Pocono Mountains with her husband, Chuck, dog Rex and hairless cat, Phyllis. She is the mother of two smart and kind adult children. Her hobbies include gardening, preserving food by canning and freezing, and sewing for others.



Margaret Battin

MPH, RDMS, RVT

Margaret Battin has over ten years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer holding ARDMS registries in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular and pediatric specialties. She also serves as an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor for multiple diagnostic medical sonography programs, teaching ultrasound physics, abdominal ultrasound, and small parts ultrasound. In addition to adjunct and clinical responsibilities, she has studied public health, instructional design, and eLearning. Margaret looks forward to seeing how ultrasound education combined with modern technology will create more flexible and equitable opportunities for learners worldwide.
