David Adams, ACS, RCS, RDCS, FASE and Team Heart
David is one of our adult echocardiography instructors and has been for over two decades! He worked as an advanced Cardiac Sonographer at Duke University Medical Center and is registered in both adult and pediatric echocardiography. He retired from scanning at Duke so that he could focus on Team Heart. Team Heart is a not for profit organization that focuses on reducing the burden of cardiac disease in Rwanda. He has traveled to Rwanda for many years, performing screenings on potential surgical patients, providing surgical support, as well as educating nurses, medical students, and the residents of Rwanda. He has also received many awards throughout his career, but two he is most proud of are the ASE Sonographer Teaching Award and the VERY FIRST Sonographer Lifetime Achievement Award.
