Point of Care Ultrasound

The Point of Care Ultrasound Course is a program born out of necessity for high quality education on point of care ultrasound. This program is unique to ESP in that it provides a hands-on environment to learn specific techniques regarding Point of Care Ultrasound. Proper ultrasound training is required to successfully practice and pass Point of Care ultrasound certificates and certifications. This course is to prepare the healthcare professional to be successful in certification and implementation into practice. The goal of this hands-on program is to provide accurate diagnosis in a timely manner, stay up to date on the latest technology, establish duty to exceptional patient care while attaining continuing education credits.

Dr. Tollefson’s twelve-hour course provides outstanding registry preparation and clinical education. It offers participants with a comprehensive introduction to point of care ultrasound. The program is structured based on the Point of Care Ultrasound exam content outline and includes relevant material on trauma, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT), lung, cardiac, musculoskeletal (MSK), gastrointestinal, obstetrics, hepatobiliary and spleen, renal and genitourinary.

The teaching environment will be optimal for those seeking quality education as well as board preparation for the Point of Care Fundamentals Certification and Individual Clinical Certificate exams.
